Whale and dolphin watching from BALTIMORE on ROOSTER
In 1991 Irish waters became the first whale and dolphin sanctuary in Europe and several species are regular visitors to the seas off Baltimore, sometimes in large numbers.

Regular sightings include:

Common dolphin
Risso's dolphin

Bottlenose dolphin
Pilot whale

Minke whale
Fin whale

Other species, like killer and humpback whale, are seen from time time. An added bonus is the chance of seeing other animals, including seals, sharks, sunfish, turtles and several rare species of sea bird.

Rooster is a fast modern purpose-built charter boat with an experienced skipper ready to share his knowledge of the area's marine life with you. There is seating and the full complement of navigational and safety equipment including lifejackets, liferaft, ship-to-shore radio, etc. There is also a flush toilet. Rooster is licensed for up to 12 passengers.
